Water and Environmental Quality

RPI is conducting a GIS characterization of Turkey and Bullock Creek Watersheds in the Broad River Basin, York and Chester Counties, SC as the first step in implementing a total maximum daily load (TMDL) for fecal coliform. This project runs from 2008 through 2011. RPI completed a TMDL implementation for fecal coliform and turbidity in Big Wateree Creek in March 2008, and is due to complete TMDL implementations for Fishing Creek, Tinkers Creek, Allison Creek, Lower Allison Creek, Calabash Branch, Brown Creek, and Beaverdam Creek in late 2008/early 2009.
