Southern California Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI)

RPI will develop ESI maps and Geographic Information System (GIS) digital databases of the Southern California coastal area, including the Channel Islands. The maps will highlight biological habitats and life stages, wildlife concentrations, shoreline geomorphology/sensitivity, and human-use resources, all of which are particularly sensitive to oil spills.
