and Pandion will be convening a training course
on Oil Spill Response Planning and Natural Resource Damage Assessment
for the Marine Emergency Mutual Aid Center (MEMAC). The course will
be held in Doha, Qatar 19-22 June 2011. Attendees from the 8 Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) member-countries have been invited to
attend. The course is designed to cover 4 broad areas though a total
of 28 lectures and interactive sessions covering:
- Physical Processes and Resources at Risk within the ROPME Sea
Area
- Potential Hazards/Threats within the ROPME Sea Area
- Oil/Hazardous substance spill Fate, Effects, and Cleanup Strategies
- Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA)
